Southside Players next Rehearsed Reading will be performed on Thursday 25th September at a brand new venue – The Clapham Omnibus.
The night consists of a double bill of one-act plays:
Tejas Verdes which means Green Gables – was the name of a notorious torture and detention centre operated by the Chilean army in the months following the 1973 coup by General Augusto Pinochet. The play traces the life of a young woman – one of 3,000 people known as “the disappeared”. It is based on real people and events, and contains graphic descriptions and strong language. (suitable for over 16s only).
(This production is presented with the kind permission of Robert Shaw / Inside Intelligence.)
‘Check Please’ shows how tough dating can be, especially when your date keeps stealing the cutlery or has clearly lied about their age! Light-hearted and fun, this play will make you cringe and laugh in equal measure!
(Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc.)
Tickets are purchased on the door, and are £3 for members and £5 for non-members and will start at 19:45.
