The next in our occasional play-reading series will be “…And to My Daughter” by Jan Harris.
This is an award-winning American play about the scandal surrounding William Shakespeare’s decision to cut his younger daughter out of his will.
The story belongs to Judith Shakespeare, her marriage and her fight for recognition from her wealthy, famous father. The dates, characters and events are all based on documented facts. Was a murder committed, and if so, by whom?
The play has not yet been staged in the UK.
